The Latest and Greatest

In this fast world of technology I have no idea of what to buy. Everything you buy is worthless in about 6 months when the next big thing comes out. First there was the computer (desktop), then the laptop, and now net books. Looking for televisions is just as hard. Is this one better than that one just because it says it is? When DVDs first came out people said at first that they can’t see the difference from their video tapes. What I am getting at is that technology is constantly changing especially in the entertainment world. Whether you are buying the latest in greatest in gaming or a television you never know what is around the corner. So should you buy the new television that Best Buy is putting in their weekly ad, or should you wait for something truly special? We spend $1,000’s trying to get the best of the best. We are told today if we buy a high definition television, we will need a Bluray player or it would be pointless to have that TV. But in our society we want the latest and greatest and will spend the $$$$ to get it.

  3. I guess I am just old fashion because I wiil use something until it breaks then I will get something knew. My philosophy is if it's not broke don't fix it.

  4. This is so true. Everyone wants the best of the best. In my opinion, just keep what you have as long as it works. You are never truly going to be ahead of the game. Someone else already has the next "big" thing.

  6. This is so true about technology. You can buy something and a few months later, its obsolete. If you try to keep up with the Jones', then you will be constantly UPGRADING.
