The Entertainment Industry is Growing Fast

Technology is always advancing in our world, which is what we know. With Smartphone’s having the ability to pretty much do anything with all the apps out there, it is amazing. Even Disney is getting into the game; they are really stepping up in the entertainment industry. They might even come up with a product that will make DVDs and Bluray movies obsolete. Their idea is code name called Disney’s Keychest technology, and I wanted to share it will you. What makes this Keychest thing so cool is it has the ability to download movies to your devices such as, iphone, laptop, etc… It will give you the key code for that movie and you can download it on multiple devices. We know in this industry everyone is stepping into this kind of business, Sony just introduce the PSP (playstation portable) GO with a 16 gig hard drive. You now have to download the game instead of buying the disc at a game store. Sony also has a movie and music store for downloading content. Apple has been in this game too, they have brilliant iTunes software that lets you download music, games, apps, TV shows and movies. It seems that everyone is now going digital. So what does that mean for the game stores and entertainment stores? Are they going to be out of business from this? It could happen, why would you want to wait in line with some screaming 5 year old at Best Buy when you can sit in your favorite chair and order a game. With all of downloading going on I’m sure it won’t be long for televisions to catch up. Soon when we go into a store to buy a TV they will have TVs with a hard drive for downloading movies, music and more. Wouldn’t that be cool, and with all the talk of the entertainment world, who knows what might come out next.

  1. I am not sure where I would be without entertainment. I am not a huge tv person. But I do love to watch movies, and I do love to take pictures!

  2. That is going to be amazing if that actually happens. TVs that will download movies and stuff will take a lot of business away from the movie rental companies. Redbox and Netflix is already doing that so they should be used to it.

  5. It would be the great if this technology actually came about. I would enjoy the convenience of ordering a movie at any time and watching it whenever you I chose to. It wouldn't shock me if this actually became possible.

  7. Portable is the best I like the idea of being able to take the technology with me. But I’m not sure about downloading movies onto the T.V. without having a backup copy of those movies.

  8. This type of product would be fesible only if there were some type of back up or some way to restore if the digital file was lost.
